Dented Brick adheres to a ‘grain to glass’ philosophy, starting the distillation process with the finest raw ingredients and their own mineral rich, artesian well water. Dented Brick’s Antelope Island Rum begins with turbinado sugar and molasses straight from Lu La Farm in Louisiana. The final product is remarkable, with notes of creamy coconut and a floral nose. The name ‘Antelope Island’ is a nod to Utah culture as well as the tropical islands where rums are traditionally produced. Surrounded by the briny Great Salt Lake, it is indeed an island, but instead of coral reefs and white sandy beaches, you’ll find herds of pronghorn antelope and bison wandering the arid landscape.
Our Jan's Pineapple Flavored Rum, a nod to our Hall of Fame Inductee owner PGA legend Jan Stephenson, is this same rum infused with reduced pineapple juice, has a murky golden amber color, with fruity, spicy aromas and flavors of dried mango, allspice, nutmeg, and fine caramels with a satiny, crisp, fruity medium body and a warming, involved, long finish that exhibits notes of fresh mango, sweet ripe pineapple, spiced honey, and leather finish. A true-to-life pineapple rum that competes with the best of 'em; sip, shoot, or make a stellar pineapple daiquiri.
A few years back a small group of entrepreneurs from Utah gathered to start the weekend with a craft cocktail hour. As usual, we discussed what we thought made the ideal drink and how it might taste. After repeating this ritual over the years, we finally had the guts to bring to life our passion for the highest quality spirits and recipes from centuries-old pioneers. It was important that we build a world-class distillery in Salt Lake City with the integrity that mirrors our lifestyle. So we agreed…just as we live purposefully and joyfully among the Wasatch mountains of Utah, so will we distill the liquid treasure that comes from our local artesian well. Combined with regionally sourced grains and house select yeasts, Dented Brick® now offers small batch spirits made for the most discerning palates.
Dented Brick Distillery is named in honor of the well driller that was responsible for the amazing artesian well that is located at the distillery and is the source of water for our spirits. The well driller was killed in a blazing gunfight that left impressions in the bricks of his house. To honor the well driller, some of those "dented bricks" were transferred to the new distillery building and gave it its name.
Jan's Pineapple Flavored Rum scored a silver medal by the leading bartenders of the USA at the 2020 Bartenders Spirits Awards.

Antelope Island Rum is made from dehydrated green sugarcane juice from Lula Farm in Louisiana and a touch of molasses from the same source, brought to proof with the most important ingredient — artesian, limestone-filtered water. This water is sourced directly from the majestic Wasatch mountains of Utah, home to the greatest snow on earth! The snowmelt then flows into the distillery's own artesian well creating a unique flavor profile crafted from this mineral rich water.

A nice, spicy and warming white rum that will pop in cocktails.
